I’m Federica Olivotto, an Italian photographer now based in London. I grew up among classic cars near Venice, and that early love for them grew into a passion for automotive photography.
How it started. As a child, wandering through the fields of Beaulieu during the International Autojumble, I stepped into the Bonhams tent and watched specialists showing cars to buyers. I thought, “One day, I’d love to work here.” Ten years later, I did — as Marketing Coordinator for Bonhams|Cars.
What inspires me. Driving home from Brescia after the 1000 Miglia start one night, a pack of 1930s Bentleys roared past us on the motorway. That moment sealed it — I wanted to capture experiences like that. I’ve since followed the race twice in my own 1957 Fiat 1100.
What I aim to do. The atmosphere at motoring events is unforgettable, and my goal is to capture it — not just the cars, but the people too.
My background. I studied International Relations at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and have worked with Nervesauto, Car & Classic, Bonhams|Cars and Bonhams|Cars Online. I’ve since founded my own company, Quantum Reach Marketing Agency.
Through photography, my aim is simple: to preserve the beauty, history and human connection at the heart of motoring. This is my journey.
